Melissa & Tyler Smith
Melissa and Tyler are the owners of Hillside Events. Both have their own roles that they oversee to help make the daily needs of the venue and clientele. Melissa assists with providing tours of the venue, wedding/decor planning with couples, and catering.
Tyler's roles range from being the Bartending Manager to make it the best experience for those attending events. Tyler also is the Heads Groundskeeper.

Aimee Smith, Head Florist/Event Staff
Aimee has worked with Hillside Events for the past four years. Aimee has assisted with decor meetings and has taken over building floral arrangements for weddings and other events! Aimee has enjoyed being able to work with Melissa who has been a lifelong friend of hers as well as working with her daughter, Savannah.
In Aimee's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoys spending time thrift shopping, doing glass art, playing board games, and spending time with her animals!

Savannah Phelps, Head Decor/Event Staff
Savannah has been with Hillside Events as the Head of Decor for the past year after moving back to Nebraska from Connecticut for a couple years. Savannah assists with setting up all decor at the venue, building floral arrangements with her mom (Aimee), and helping run events to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
Savannah is eager to welcome her first child this fall and has been keeping herself busy preparing for her daughter to make her appearance! She also likes spending time with her cats, going on hikes, crafting/DIY things, and going to different concerts.

Kristin Skinner, Office Manager/ Event Staff
Kristin has worked with Hillside Events for a little over two years. She joined the team to assist with bartending, but has stepped into additional roles to assist with office management and decorating the venue for different events. Kristin keeps herself busy outside of work with her own business, Blissful Blends Nutrition which is a mobile protein shake trailer. Kristin also does interior painting on the side. In her down time, Krstin enjoys spending time traveling and spending time with her friends/family, relaxing with her dog, watching some rom-coms, or exercising.

Camryn Spencer, Event Planning/ Event Staff
Camryn joined the staff at Hillside Events in April 2025 and is working closely alongside the owner, Melissa with event planning. Camryn will be overseeing the event planning portion for events that are not taking place at Hillside Events. While not at work, Camryn keeps busy with her one year old daughter and planning her wedding with her soon to be husband in October 2026. Camryn enjoys spending time with her cats and dog, hiking, and lifting weights.

Kelsi Castillo, Decor Rental Manager (On/Off Site) and Marketing
Kelsi joined the staff at Hillside Events in April 2025 and jumped right in to helping launch our decor rentals by taking inventory and creating the website. Kelsi will be overseeing the marketing platforms for Hillside Events. Kelsi is kept busy during the school year as a preschool teacher with Lincoln Public Schools which she has been doing for four years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, going to her family's cabin to hunt and fish, and spend time with her family...especially her niece and nephews!
